Honey Garlic Shrimp with Broccoli (Printable Version)

Succulent shrimp coated in a sweet-savory honey garlic sauce, paired with tender-crisp broccoli for a quick, satisfying meal.

# Ingredients:

→ Protein

01 - 450g large shrimp, peeled and deveined

→ Vegetables

02 - 180g broccoli florets
03 - 2 green onions, sliced

→ Sauce

04 - 85g honey
05 - 2 tbsp soy sauce
06 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 1 tbsp olive oil
08 - 1 tsp cornstarch (optional)

→ Seasonings

09 - 1/4 tsp salt
10 - 1/4 tsp black pepper
11 - 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
02 - In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, and cornstarch (if using). Set aside.
03 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a small drizzle of olive oil. Arrange the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes, until they begin to turn pink.
04 - Flip the shrimp, then immediately pour the honey garlic sauce into the pan. Stir gently to coat the shrimp as the sauce simmers and thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes. The shrimp should be fully cooked and the sauce glossy.
05 - Once the shrimp are cooked and the sauce is glossy, transfer the shrimp to a plate.
06 - In the same skillet, add the broccoli and sauté for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
07 - Return the shrimp to the pan and toss everything together in the sauce. Serve immediately while warm.

# Notes:

01 - Use large shrimp (not small) for better texture.
02 - Don't overcook — shrimp are done as soon as they turn opaque and curl slightly.
03 - If you prefer more sauce for serving over rice, you can double the sauce ingredients without changing the shrimp quantity.
04 - Pairs well with steamed rice, quinoa, or simple sautéed vegetables.
05 - Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
06 - Reheat gently in a skillet or microwave to avoid overcooking the shrimp.
