Parmesan-basil Air Fryer Salmon (Printable Version)

Flaky salmon fillets with a crispy parmesan-basil crust, air fried to perfection in minutes for a quick, healthy dinner option.

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
02 - ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
03 - ¼ cup fresh basil, finely chopped
04 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
05 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
06 - ½ teaspoon salt
07 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper
08 - ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
09 - Lemon wedges for serving

# Steps:

01 - Preheat your air fryer to 200°C for about 5 minutes.
02 - In a mixing bowl, combine grated Parmesan cheese, finely chopped basil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and paprika (if using). Mix thoroughly.
03 - Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Drizzle olive oil over each fillet and rub evenly to coat.
04 - Press the Parmesan and basil mixture onto the top of each salmon fillet, ensuring an even coating.
05 - Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the basket, ensuring they're not overcrowded.
06 - Air fry the salmon for 10-12 minutes until cooked through and the topping is golden brown. Internal temperature should reach 63°C.
07 - Carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer using a fish spatula. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.

# Notes:

01 - You can substitute dried basil for fresh, but reduce the amount to 1 tablespoon since dried herbs are more concentrated.
02 - Feel free to adjust the level of garlic to suit your taste preferences.
03 - This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
