Roasted Carrots Green Beans (Printable Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb fresh carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
02 - 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
03 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - ½ teaspoon coarse salt
06 - ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

# Steps:

01 - Set oven to 425°F (220°C) and line baking sheet with parchment paper
02 - Peel carrots and cut into uniform sticks, trim green bean ends
03 - Toss vegetables with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in large bowl
04 - Spread seasoned vegetables in single layer on prepared baking sheet
05 - Cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring once halfway through cooking time
06 - Remove when vegetables are tender and lightly caramelized, serve immediately

# Notes:

01 - Cut carrots and green beans to similar sizes for even cooking – aim for 3-inch pieces to ensure uniform doneness
02 - Don't overcrowd the baking sheet as this creates steam instead of roasting, preventing proper caramelization
03 - Use fresh vegetables whenever possible as frozen ones release excess moisture and won't achieve the same crispy texture
04 - Test doneness by piercing with a fork – vegetables should be tender but still have slight resistance
